Labozetta hurls six shutout innings as Eagles win eighth straight

Polk State got its eighth straight win tonight, beating South Florida State College 12-2 in seven innings in Avon Park.  

Starting pitcher Brad Labozetta got the win with six scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and struck out three, improving his record to 4-2. 

The Panthers got two runs on two hits off Zak Spivy in the seventh.  

Kaylor Kulina had a double and two singles, a walk, a run scored, two stolen bases, and four RBI.   

Matt Piatt went three-for-five with two runs scored and an RBI.   

Andrew Stroud hit a home run, scored a run, and drove in two runs. 

Brandon Gali collected two hits, a walk, two runs, and two RBI. 

Cole Ondrejka singled, walked, scored twice, and drove in a run. 

Keith Oren had a single and two runs scored. 

Luke Parker walked twice, singled, and scored a run. 

JD Osborne singled and drove in a run.  

The Eagles (24-8, 8-1, No. 5 in the FCSAA Coaches' Poll) play Hillsborough Community College on Friday in Tampa. 

The Eagles, who were 11-7 at the end of February, have gone 12-1 so far in March.
