Polk State Baseball offers summer skills camp for kids

Boys and girls ages 13 and under who want to improve their baseball skills can register now for the Polk State Baseball Youth Camp June 8-11 on the Winter Haven campus. 

The camp features a fun and exciting environment that includes drills and instruction in fundamentals, including hitting, throwing, pitching, fielding, base running, sportsmanship and teamwork.

The coaching staff includes Polk State Head Coach Al Corbeil and assistant coaches Brad Cook and Jake Rogers. They all have experience playing or coaching college or professional baseball. 

Campers will play two games every day. Each day begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m., except for the final day, which ends at noon. 

Cost is $150 and includes a camp T shirt. Campers can bring their own lunch and drinks. Pizza will be available for $1 a slice, and drinks will be available for $1 each. 

Camp enrollment is limited, so please reserve a spot as soon as possible.
