Four Polk State sophomore baseball players today signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers next year at four-year universities.

Signing were Cody Burgess (Florida Southern), Brandon Gali (University of Miami), Kaylor Kulina (Pitt) and Joe Strzelecki (Old Dominion).

"I'm excited to see four of our six sophomores sign in the early period," said Head Coach Al Corbeil.

"They've all done a great job on the field and in the classroom and put themselves in a position to be recruited by such prestigious four year universities.

"All four programs are getting quality players and people who should be a great fit after they move on from here."

In his six years at Polk State, Corbeil has seen nearly 60 players move on to four-year schools.
