Jordan Spicer of Polk State baseball has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at University of Central Florida.

A sophomore pitcher from Pembroke Pines, Fla., Spicer has a 1-0 record this season. In 10 innings he has 11 strikeouts and an 0.90 ERA.

"We are excited for Jordan to have the opportunity to move on to UCF next year," said Head Coach Al Corbeil.

"We've enjoyed watching Jordan mature as player, person, and student-athlete, and we look forward to watching him continue to excel."

In his six years at Polk State, Corbeil has seen nearly 60 players move on to four-year schools.
