Darelle Porter commits to St. Francis College

Polk State basketball player Darelle Porter has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career this fall at St. Francis College (NCAA Division I) in Brooklyn Heights, NY. 

A 6-6 sophomore from Pittsburgh, he attended Barack Obama Academy of International Studies. 

This season with the Eagles, Porter appeared in 32 games. With a field-goal percentage of 46.3, he averaged 11.5 points per game. He grabbed 135 rebounds and shot 83.5 percent from the free-throw line. 

He was also named First Team All-Suncoast Conference.
