Booth’s grand slam gives Eagles split with Palm Beach

Kacie Booth's seventh-inning grand slam powered Polk State to a 7-3 road win today against Palm Beach State College. 

Trailing 3-2 going into the seventh inning, the Eagles tied the game 3-3 on Danielle Gizoski's RBI single. Booth's blast then gave them the winning runs. She doubled earlier in the game and finished with six RBI. 

Taylor Baker went two-for-three. 

Lauren West (6-3) pitched a complete game, allowing three runs while walking none and striking out nine. 

In game two, Baker (1-1) threw a complete-game four hitter but the Eagles allowed six unearned runs and lost 7-2. 

At the plate, Baker went three-for-three with a double. 

Taylor Fike singled and had an RBI. 

The Eagles (13-9) travel to Indian River State College on Wednesday for games at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
