Booth and Butler earn all-conference honors

Polk State softball players Kacie Booth and Amber Butler have earned 2016 All-Suncoast Conference honors.

Butler, a sophomore third baseman from Lakeland, was named to the First Team All-Suncoast Conference.

For the season she had a .361 batting average with two home runs, 10 doubles, and 19 RBI. She posted a .390 on-base percentage and a .490 slugging percentage.

Butler also appeared in eight games as a pitcher and had a 2-3 record.

Booth, a sophomore shortstop from Plant City, was named to the Second Team All-Suncoast Conference.

She hit .350 with four home runs, 12 doubles, and 30 RBI. She had a .373 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage.
