Wu named Volleyball Player of the Week

Yue "Phoebe" Wu of Polk State has been named NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played October 10-16. 

A sophomore from Shanghai, China, Wu led Polk State to a 4-0 record for the week and 3-0 in matches in which she appeared. 

She averaged 4.8 kills, 0.2 assists, 0.1 services aces, 4.7 digs, 0.4 blocks and 5.1 points over 10 sets and four matches during the voting period. 

Wu recorded double-doubles in all three outings: 12 kills, 21 digs vs. Hillsborough Community College; 15 kills, 14 digs vs. South Florida State College; 21 kills, 12 digs vs. State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.
